# Stratford is Attending BIO 2024

Several team members from Stratford Intellectual Property are attending the popular event being held in San Diego!

We're excited to announce that Stratford Group, represented by [Stratford Intellectual Property](https://www.stratford.group/full-service-ip-agency)'s Vice President Jordan Pynn and VP of Business of Development Paul Fortin, will be attending BIO 2024 in San Diego this June.

The BIO International Convention has been described as the "largest and most comprehensive event for biotechnology", attracting over 20,000 industry leaders worldwide. This event serves as a crucial hub for professionals from pharmaceutical companies, biotech startups, academia, non-profits, government, and investors to network and build relationships across diverse sectors. 

The event aims to inspire innovation and support R&D efforts through more than 100 sessions across 18 focus areas and showcases 500 exhibitors, from startups to established brands, offering advanced solutions in product development, contract research, and manufacturing.

On May 8th, in support of the Canadian delegation attending BIO, we cohosted the "Get IP Ready for BIO 2024" webinar with our friends from [Global Affairs Canada](https://www.international.gc.ca/global-affairs-affaires-mondiales/home-accueil.aspx?lang=eng) and [EY](https://www.ey.com/en_ca). The webinar was geared towards empowering life science companies with strategic insights into intellectual property planning and funding. The session focused on harnessing IP to propel growth, enhance valuations, and optimize funding strategies through topics such as crafting an effective IP strategy and the significance of IP in mergers, acquisitions, and investor considerations.

Our IP team's participation underscores Stratford's commitment to advancing the biotechnology sector through our specialized intellectual property expertise.
